Question on how buses run

I would like to know if anyone know if the buses from BWV to the Magic Kingdom (Grand Floridian) are direct of if we have to go do Dowtown Disney first? I just want to allow enough time for our ressies for dinner (7:30) on our upcoming trip.

Buses from resorts are direct to the theme parks. Take the bus to Magic Kingdom, then monorail to Grand Floridian. But as always, allow a little extra time for the buses.

Do remember that there is a monorail ride or a boat ride, and I recall the monorail going in the OTHER direction). I don't recall being able to walk from the MK to the GF. We almost always end up in a cab for that trip - by the time the kids are out of the pool and cleaned up for dinner, we don't want to risk waiting 20 minutes for a bus and another 10 for a monorail and taking the whole loop. Its about a $15 cab.

We've taken the bus from BWV (and other Epcot resorts) to the MK for dinner at the POLY many times. We just got the bus to the MK and then got on the monorail. Once you are on the monorail, you are there in minutes. Buses to the MK are pretty regular, but allow extra time for that.

In this case, take the bus from SSR to Epcot and walkt to Cape May through the International gateway.

They have minivan cabs. Seven adults would be tight (I think its seven plus the cab driver). I know we've had six in a cab, but two were small kids.

It really depends on how much time you want to spend in transportation. We end up in a lot of cabs because with two pokey kids (and taking my mother in law who is perpetually late), we are almost always running late for a resort dinner - or we plan better - if we would stay at SSR and have dinner reservations at Cape May, we'd likely be in Epcot catching a few attractions at 4:00 and head over for a 6:00 reservation around 5:30. If we have reservations at the Poly and are staying at the BW, we will walk through Epcot - maybe catching Spaceship Earth, take the monorail to the TTC and walk to the Poly (or take the monorail to the GF or CR). Or leave even earlier and spend some time in the MK. Somehow, making time for an attraction or two makes the travel time more attractive.

Keep in mind the bus from the BWV is going to stop and the Swan and Dolphin before heading to the MK. Sometimes the BW is the last stop, but when ever we're on the bus the way to the MK the BW is the first stop, and on the way back from the MK the BW is the last stop. (I guess as long as we're not on the bus you'll be OK. )

The bus from the BW does not go directly to the MK. It stops at YC, then BC, then Swan, Dolphin, then the MK. If you then want to go to the GF you then need to take the monorail or boat to it. Same for the Poly. We had to go to the Poly from the BW and we took the MK bus and it took about 45 min to do this in the beginning of May. That was because we only waited 5 min at the BW for the MK bus, it could've been longer. My advice would be to take a cab.
Also at the BW, the AK bus stopped at the Swan, Dolphine, TL, then DtD. It was a real pain(IMHO) if you just wanted to get somewhere to have to share the bus with all those other resorts, especially when you are trying to make a ressie.
Next time we are at the BW we will either rent a car or use a cab to go to the resorts or DtD, or MK and AK.

When we were there in Dec none of the buses (to any park) from the BW/BWV stopped at the YC/BC, only Swan and Dolphin. I asked the bus driver since I remember the buses going to YC/BC in previous trips and was curious. He said that YC/BC now have their own buses. They also have seperate bus stops/signs/gates at all the parks, which I noticed right away. BW/Swan/Dolphin are one stop together and BC/YC are another. This was really clearly marked.

The AK bus did not stop anywhere else except the Swan and Dolphin, just like the buses to all the other parks. Our AK bus was pretty empty too, both coming and going.

Are you talking about May 2006? Did they do away with the BC/YC bus route and their bus stops in all the parks?? That would really stink. The bus driver even comented that they simply had to seperate the Epcot resorts because it was just too many people and stops.
