Question on genie plus. What does this mean

I’ve been practicing with the app so when we go in Jan I know what I’m doing. LOL. I was going through looking at genie +. And for I thin it was BTM. It says temporary closed for stand by. Stand by not offered. Yet gives a genie plus return time of 1140EST. When the actual time is only 1125. So is it going to be up and running in only 20 minutes. Just curious

If you had a LL for a time and the attraction was down at that time you’ll be give a “use anywhere “ LL. There are some restrictions (like 7DMT), but you can use it just about anywhere, even on the attraction you had originally booked (when it reopens).

It just means the ride is down. Pass distribution doesn't stop if the ride is down. (Actually a good strategy is make a reservation for it now and actually hope it doesn't come back up - gives you an anytime for rest of day and ability to make another one).

Exactly this! I've been looking at genie+ on the app as well, in preparation for a trip in February. I've seen this scenario occasionally, and I would absolutely snag one in hopes that it would become an anytime/any ride pass.

I was at DL in July with 5 of my friends and through weird ~luck, multiple rides broke down for a short period of time, giving us basically 5 any time LLs by the afternoon. It got to the point where City Hall transferred them to use the following day because we weren't going to have time to use them. At the same time, we rode a bazillion rides.
