Our flight is scheduled to arrive in Orlando around 9:15am when our trip begins. Can we check in at the resort and use the pool until our room is ready? I am planning for arrival day and the wednesday of that week as "down time" thank you

And you never know, your room might be ready! Sometimes it happens!

Just make sure to pack what you'll need in your carry ons including a small travel size sunscreen, or you can buy it in gift shop. I've had good luck with early arrivals and many times our room is ready. You can indicate arrival time with online check in. But even if your room is ready, you'll still need to pack what you need in carry on as luggage can take 1-3 hrs to arrive. We were surprised our last Poly stay we went to pool and when we went back to room luggage was there. Only took an hour!

of course you can :)

Also, I suggest doing online check in and noting in there that you are arriving very early! This way they will "TRY" to have your room ready earlier than someone that says they won't arrive until 6 :)

With online check in, there is a space when you put in your estimated arrival time. I would suggest you put in your plane's arrival time, not the time you get to Disney World. As long as you don't have a ton of room requests, if someone checks out at, say 8:00 AM and the room is cleaned, you can have that room when you land. But even if a room isn't available, you will be able to check in when you arrive and have full access to everything at your resort once you arrive.

We got to the Contemporary very early and left our bags with the bellman. By the time my wife got a coffee from the shop in the lobby, we used the restrooms and checked in our room had been assigned to us. I just had to stall my wife for about 15 minutes while they delivered the gifts I had gotten for her to be delivered.

If your flight gets in at 9:15, you still have to depart the plane, pick up luggage (if you want to get your own), get your car rental or magical express etc, and travel to your resort...so that will take a while. You should be okay, especially if it is not during peak times, and depends on the day of the week, there should be some rooms that are empty and ready for checking in. On our last visit, the cleaning crews were working on the rooms as early at 8am, luckily we were already down for breakfast already :)

In April, our flight landed about 9:30. I had done online check in, and when I turned my phone back on after the plane had landed, I had the 'your room is ready' text with my room number. We took ME from the airport to Pop and we in our room just before 11AM. If your room is not ready, you can still check in and use the pool/other resort amenities or head to the park.

CBR is awesome! We had a room only at POR the night before our package stay at CBR. We were undecided as to how to handle our transfer but knew that we wanted to make rope drop at MK that first morning (after the night at POR). We had driven to WDW so we just loaded all the luggage in the car and drove over to CBR in hopes to leave it at the bell station until later that day/evening when we could check in. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room was ready! At 7:00 am! Talk about thrilled! We took a few extra minutes to find our room in Aruba and stow our luggage and were still able to make rope drop! It was a great trip all the way around!
