Question on dining

We are staying offsite, and want to schedule the earliest time possible for Plaza Inn our first day. We love to start our trip off with a character meal. Would we be let in before 9:00am if we had a dining reservation?

Our trip to WDW they had pre-rope drop reservations so just wondering if it works the same at DL.

Turnstile #1 is for Minnie and Friends reservations. Guests are usually allowed in earlier and held at a rope in the hub. Plaza Inn is before the rope.

In my experience, the earliest Plaza Inn reservation is on an early entry day. It will be for 10 minutes after the start of early entry. So if regular park opening is 9 AM and early entry is 8 AM, then the earliest Plaza Inn reservation that day is for 8:10 AM. If regular opening is 8 AM and early entry is 7 AM, then 7:10 is the first reservation of the day. You don't need to be eligible for early entry to take advantage of this. If you have a dining reservation, then follow Girimama33's directions above. If it's not an early entry day, then the schedule is different. I think with a 9 AM opening time on a non-early entry day, the earliest reservation might be 8:40 AM. With an 8 AM opening time though and no early entry, the first reservation of the day is usually not until 8:10 AM.

As the PP said, DL doesn't have the really early pre-park opening ADRs like WDW does. In general, the first ADR is about 10 minutes after the start of MM/EMH on MM/EMH mornings or about 20 minutes before park opening on non-EMH/non-MM mornings. On non-EMH/non-MM mornings, they tend to open the turnstiles about 20 to 30 minutes before park opening and hold people on Main Street, so it's unlikely you'll be able to get the "empty" park experience that folks really like at WDW.

I was hoping we would be able to get in early and not eat too much of our normal park time up. Wwe will be seriously jet lagged that first day and ready to go explore.
