Question on Dining Plan; kid's menu

My 11 yr old still prefers the food on kids menu as opposed to the entrees on the adult menu. Assuming that we are NOT on the dining plan, will he be allowed to order from the kid's menu? What would they charge?

Since we are getting 2 rooms (2 separate confirms), we thought that the 2nd room which has only my wife and 9 yr listed would be on the dining plan. When we are at a TS restaurant can we use 2 credits for her and I? We will probably only eat at a TS 2 or 3 times but my wife will have 6 TS credits on the plan since we are staying 6 nights. How does the process actually work when using credits for a meal? Does each person have a card with the credits on it or would all of the credits be on one card?

Thanks!

Credits are on the room key of everyone on the reservation. If the room registered to Mom and the 9 year old has the dining plan attached, key cards for that room will hold the dining credits.

You have two separate reservations but only have the dining plan on one. Because your child is 9, they will have children's credits. You can't use children's credits to buy adult meals. On the reservation with the dining plan, it will reflect that there is one adult and one child on that reservation, so you'll be restricted to ordering one child meal and one adult meal.

You're not supposed to use the credits for someone not on your reservation, so they'll probably not allow you to buy 2 adult meals on the dining plan if there is only one adult on the dining plan reservation.

As for your 11 year old, most restaurants (definitely not the buffets or all you can eat fixed menu meals) will let him order from the kids' menu. Some MIGHT want to charge more and may give him a larger portion. That would depend on the restaurant.

You definitely won't be able to use the child TS credit for you to dine with yoru wife. Her card will state 1A, 1C. You can't use child credits to purchase adult meals.

Thanks for responses. But I guess I wasn't clear in my question. I don't want to use my 9 yr old's meal credits. I was wondering if my wife could use 2 adult credits at one TS meal (one for her meal and one for a meal that I would eat). Otherwise, we would have to use TS credits at CS to use them up since we are only planning 2 or 3 TS meals during our stay.

No. Your wife can only use 1 adult credit per meal and/or 1 child credit (for the 9yr old) per meal. She can not use more adult meal credits than there are adults listed on the reservation.
The only way to use more than one adult credit per meal is at a restaurant that costs 2 TS per person (like Cinderella's Royal Table and other dinner shows and signature restaurants).

Please see my first post in response to your question. If there is only one adult registered on the dining plan, that adult will be able to order only one adult meal per transaction. She will not be able to order two adult meals and give you one.
