When I go in September, we will be having a 2bedroom and a studio. Can we have some keys be able to charge to the room and/or a different limit for some keys?

It is my parents 40th anniversary and I want them to be able to charge whateer they want, but I want to limit what my brothers can charge. They will be in the 2 bedroom and I will be in the studio and everything will be held with my credit card.

Also, on room keys. Can I get my key coded for the 2 bedroom in addition to the studio but the 2 bedroom keys not coded for the studio? Did you follow that? LOL!

If anyone can answer that, I would appreciate it!

hi: you can have all the keys coded for your credit card number. i'm not sure if you can limit your brothers' keys. when i went with 14 of my family members, all the room keys were on my credit card. i did check the charges every couple of days to make sure no one went overboard. we've been going to wdw on a regular basis since 1993 and i've always allowed everyone over the age of 5 to have charging privileges. no one has ever abused this (although i did threaten a nephew or two prior to giving them the card) over the years. if the rooms are in your name, i'm fairly sure you'll be able to get a key or two for the two bedroom unit. we've only done multiple rooms a couple of times, and never been interested in having the keys to the studios because we were always in a 1br or larger unit. maybe someone who has done this can let you know for sure.

I'm not sure about limiting charging privileges, but you can restrict their keys to not have charging privileges. We took a friend with us to HH a couple of years ago and we did not allow him to charge to the room.

1) Keys can be set up for charging.
2) Keys can be setup for non-charging.
3) You can mix charging and non-charging keys on the same room.
4) You cannot mix charging amounts on the same room.
5) The amount of charging is the same on the same room.

Here's another question for the experts. If you have a two bedroom lock-off, can the one bedroom and the studio be set up on two different credit cards? TIA -emily

No, only one credit card per villa. To have 2 different credit cards it would have to be 2 different reservations and not a reservation for a 2 br; one reservation for the 1 BR and a different reservation for the studio.

To add to DeeP's comments... the reservation will be guaranteed on one credit card, but the charges will be identified by the card (room ID) they were charged on and you may then pay the bill using any number of credit cards, travelers checks or cash.

Just go to the desk at check-out and they can identify the charges and apply them howver you'd like. The credit card is what allows you to make the charges, but does NOT have to ne the sole method of payment for the bill.

Enjoy!
