Question on Cancellantion Policy

I have been looking at different TA's and when I came across Mouse Ears Vacations, a TA that is high recommended on these boards. I read that they charge you if you cancel your reservation. I believe it was something like 25.00 per person.

So for a family of 6 this would be 150.00 they would loose. Would that be it and then Disney gives you back everything else that you put down on as your deposit?

Do other TA's do this also?

When we had to cancel my IL's stateroom we were not charged a fee. I haven't heard of this before.
