Question on borrowing points

I have an april use year and want to borrow points for a December 2011 vacation. If for some reason, I need to cancel this trip, what happens to those points? Are they then just treated like current year points, if I cancel before the end of November, would I be able to bank them? I know that you guys will know the answer to this one....

Once borrowed, they will remain in your 2011 use year and will expire on 11/30/11. They cannot be banked. If the reservation has a mix of current 2011 and borrowed 2012, you could bank the current 2011 if you cancel 31 days or more before your arrival date. Your banking deadline is 11/30.

when you bank or borrow pts, it is a "final" transaction. you cannot undo it. the banked or borrowed pts will expire at the end of that new use year and cannot be banked ahead.

also, i assume you know that you can call to book a dec 2011 reservation right now for your home resort - using current 2011 pts (which are in your account now - you don't have to wait till april) or borrowed 2012 pts from next april...or banked 2010 pts if you have any...(some new owners get confused and think they would be borrowing the april 2011 pts if they called now.)
