I wondered if anyone knew if I could get away with staying in a one-bedroom villa with 3 kids (13,12,6) I want to stay here more than anything and would really like my own laundry and kitchen facilities, but next summer's budget just will not not allow a 2 bedroom. Thanks for your help!

A 1 Bedroom will only accommodate 4 people, the only exception is an infant in a crib. Out of respect to resort guests, and in accordance to the Orange County fire code, this maximum occupancy should be followed. Just imagine what the resort would be like if every unit had one extra person in it. Pools overcrowd, units get more wear, etc.

One option for you would be a cabin at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. These are even less expensive than the one-bedroom villas at the Disney Vacation Club Resorts.

California Dreaming is correct, the occupancy of the 1 bedroom is 4 plus an infant under 3. There are only two beds, a king bed and a queen pull out sofa. There are no roll-aways available at DVC resorts.

This is true. We have stayed in a one bedroom villa at VWL but now that our littlest one is 3 we would have to reserve a 2 bedroom. The one bedroom villa is a large unit, but it's not set up for more than 4 people because of the bed situation and it's also against the rules.

You could always try renting points from a DVC member - I think it's cheaper. Also I think Old Key West 2 bedroom villas are less expensive than the BC, BW and WL 2 bedroom villas. I'm not for sure though. Another option would be to stay in a regular room at BC since the max occ is 5. I hope this helps.

If you're renting points you should be able to rent 2 studios for about the same as a 1 bedroom. You can sleep 8, get 2 bathrooms but lose the jacuzzi, washer/dryer and the full kitchen.

Another option is an offsite timeshare. You can get great deals.
