Do you think there should be a special are of a town, city, or development where sex offenders should be held? Or do you think they should be able to live freely (freely as in away from schools and where they are monitored but still living within the general public.)

I think that sex offenders are among the absolute WORST criminals. I don't think that they should be anywhere near anyone EVER. If that means completely removing them from regular people than so be it.

I'm extremely sensitive about this topic, I think I watch Law and Order SVU too much lol...

I think that definitely would be hard to manage but an interesting idea.

Personally I think they should all be held in the state prison. For life.

Yes they are one of the worst. I love Law and Order SVU. Did you see last nights episode with the embryos? That was sickening.

Yes. I agree. And a lot of them are repeat offenders.

Well, this issue is close to me.

My best friend. She has a dad (obviously) and he was a teacher at a local school. He and a student had sexual relations. The student was 18 at the time... but she was still his student. The student then took him to court and he got sentenced to a year (and maybe a half... idk) in jail.

This is my best friend's dad. And everyone's pretty sure the student was consentual. She was also 18, but because she was his student it's labled a sexual offense. He loses his job now for life.

In this case, i'd say no. They shouldn't be isolated. There'd be no way to differentiate between the 'good' offenders and the 'bad' offenders. I think that they should be allowed to live wherever they want... but should have more strict rules about it (not within a certain radius of schools, etc.)

I think they should be held in a certain area there are apparently like 3 level 2 sex affenders in my neighborhood and that is one of the main reason we are moving to a gated community as my dont feel its safe for me to walk to friends house anymore with out a friend with me or something like that as i have to walk to the bus stop with a friend since it freaks my mom out

I don't think so. I know they're bad people but some of them just make mistakes. It screws up their whole family. You don't know how bad...

You're right, I don't have any sex offenders in my family. But I still think they should have harsher punishments.

We all have our own opinion.
