I'm getting a package where it is cheaper to fly and rent a car - than to just fly - my choices for a car rental are National or Alamo. Is there any reason to pick one over the other? Is one closer to the terminal - anybody had any bad experiences? We've never rented a car in Orlando so any advice is appreciated. TIA

Go National...see if you can do the thing that lets you bypass the counter or join emerald aisle program either of those programs let you bypass the counter at national. As far as I know Alamo does not have a way to bypass the counter...and their lines are legendary!!

National and Alamo are owned by the same company, but are operated differently. I rent with either Dollar and National and find them both first rate.

There have been quite a few negative comments here on the DIS recently about Alamo. I'd recommend you go with National.

All on-site agencies' rental desks are located in the same area and their vehicles are in the same general area of the garage.
