We leave for Orlando Thursday and my five year old is so excited. We saw a part of a show on the Travel Channel that featured a Disney resort and things to do at Disney. My five year old son and i saw a part where there was a huge ice cream dessert served in a kitchen sink at an ice cream parlor on Disney property. He is wanting to go there and eat ice cream out of a sink. Can anyone help me with where this is? Any help would be appreciated!

It is at Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club resort. It costs $21, and is specifically excluded from the dining plan. It is about the size of 7 regular sundaes....and there is a song served with it.

If you have preferences for ice cream flavors/toppings, they will make it to your specifications. Kids may not like some of the "standards" like a scoop of coffee ice cream.

A note of warning -- it normally requires at least four teen-age boys to do it justice!

Hmmm do they have a dairy free version :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Will they let you order 1 for the table???

Yes and they will bring bowls/plates and spoons for everyone. We (DH, DS8 & DD6) did the Kitchen SInk justice. Of course we didn't finish it but efinately got our money's worth......

They are great fun to order and the one at WDW is WAY better than the one at Disneyland.

I haven't tried it, but I would think you'd want 5 adult-size appetites to finish it before it melts into a gooey, inedible soup. :earsboy:

I know it's not very nutritious, but the size of this makes me think it's more suited for a meal, not a dessert! I saw the pictures on another post - it's HUGE!!

How about ordering appetizers for 5 people and then the Kitchen Sink? We may be more likely to finish it that way! :teeth:

Beaches N'Cream, several visits ago, myself, DS and DSIL was good for one, loved it, good thing we had 3 of us, DSIL was good for the coffee ice cream, I did the chocolate, and DS took care of the Vanella. Perfect for a shared dessert. We normally do two during a 10 day stay.

Appetizers too ;) ? I just figured the Kitchen Sink WAS dinner! :thumbsup2

We had 6 adults and 4 kids and we finished 2 of this last July. Of couse, we didn't eat dinner first. We are all going back in August to do it again. It was just too much fun!

And, YES, we ate it all.
