Next April (2003) we will be taking my parents to WDW with us. My Dad has been on oxygen for about a year now and gets very tired very easily. My question is, I know they have strollers for rent, but what about wheel chairs if he ends up needing one? He may be ok without one, but just in case. Is it first come first serve? I know this question has probably been answered a thousand times, but since the search function isn't working...well, I had to ask. Thanks for any help you can give.

Oh, don't be worried about asking again. Even when search is active, people ask the same questions sometimes.
They do have wheelchairs for rent in the parks. Here's a link to the DIS page of disability information. The wheelchairs are first come, first served, but from what I have read, getting one in the parks is not usually a problem.
They also have wheelchairs to loan at the WDW resorts. These are not always available and are first come first served.
Another thing to think about is whether he might like to have a wheelchair at the resort. Some of them are very large and getting from place to place might tire him out too much. You can rent wheelchairs from offsite vendors. Here's a list of vendors that DISer have reported using:
Care Medical:

Walker Mobility:

RANDY'S Mobility is in Kissimmee 407-892-4777

Colonial Medical

You might be able to get a "package deal" since I assume you are also needing to arrange for oxygen. (I don't know, just a thought) Care and Colonial list oxygen on their websites as a service they also provide. They also have ecvs (scooters) pricier, but allow for more freedom.
