Question from a renter about DDP

I've rented points for a trip that begins on Monday, January 18th. All of my commmunication with the owner was via telephone. I'm almost certain I asked her to request the dining plan, but in reviewing the paper work (reservation confirmation) it does not say wether or not we have it. I tried on-line check in and it doesn't say there either. Does anyone know how I can check this? I know I can't call member services. I've been calling the owner and she's not returning my calls. I'm so upset right now and I don't know what to do.
 
The confirmation letter has never listed the DDP status so that does not mean you dont have it.

Did you check your details at www.mydisneyreservation.com/dvc

If not there, you should be able to call the resort directly.

How long have you tried to contact your member?

I will say that this is one reason I prefer to use email to rent. Not for anonymity but to keep all details in writing for both of us.
 
If you can't get a hold of the renter maybe try calling the resort itself. There is a chance you may be in the system there already...its worth a shot.

I checked the details at the link you provided. Under reservation details it says room only. I am assuming that the dining plan is not added?

I called the resort directly and the person who answered the phone transferred me to 407-WDisney - Central Reservations, which could not help me.

I've been calling her cell and home since yesterday. I know I should have double checked sooner, but with the holidays I was pre-occupied. It wasn't until putting all my paperwork in order that I see it doesn't say it and then cannot 100% recall our conversations.

I know I should have done this all in e-mail, I have rented before and am smarter than this. The owner was trying to do it quickly and without her kids knowing what was going on since she was cancelling a trip that the kids didn't know about.

Any other ideas? Any way they will add it at check in?
 

The DDP can't be added by the resort at check-in. The owner you rented from needs to call MS ASAP. The policy is that the DDP needs to be added to the reservation at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date.

Then I guess all I can do is pray that the owner returns my calls soon. I can't tell you how upset I've gotten myself over this.

This is their policy but last week we added it to a 2 day reservation the day we were supposed to check in. So I guess they are willing to take your money anytime, hopefully you will be able to add it last minute if needed.

Larry, I hope you are right! I just went round and round with reservations and MS. I know not to call MS, but the resort transferred me to reservations and reservations transfered me to MS. So frustrating.
 
Woo hoo! Just heard from the owner and she will be calling member services this afternoon!
