Question for VGC owners

I'm hoping some VGC owners may be able to help me with a bit of information. I have a serious spider phobia. When I stayed in a first floor studio in July, I encountered 5 spiders in 4 days. My experience in my own homes has been the higher the floor, the fewer the spiders. So, for my next couple of VGC stays I requested a villa on a higher floor.

My real question here is, can anyone that has stayed there a lot tell me if you've had spider issues? Or at least, if you've noticed a difference based on the floor you stayed on? I'm hoping my experience was just a strangely isolated incident. But, if that's not the case, I might have to pack some pack pest control supplies for vacation.

I own there have stayed severaL times and never seen a spider in my room

Since the floor could not be guaranteed I believe you would just need to be prepared to accommodate your needs. I really think that if you don't have a fear of spiders you probably won't even notice but spiders do climb. They are one thing I would expect to possibly find on any floor.

We have never encountered spiders either. My classroom has a lot of spiders (and crickets... and scorpions... and ants). Every year when I come back from summer, my bins always have spiders in them. Last year, I became an essential oil (Young Living) fan and I read spiders don't like peppermint (or ants). I sprayed the heck out of my bins before summer with a mix that was mostly water with about 20 drops peppermint. I figured it couldn't hurt, right. I came back.... not one single spider in my bins. Not one. I couldn't believe it. I sprayed again at the doors and the bins and I still haven't seen one in my room. My ants are way better too and so far.... no scorpions- although I usually only see those a few times a year anyway. So.... I would get some peppermint oil, add it to some water and spray around the corners and cracks when you arrive. The smell was gone in like two hours and wasn't even bad really.

I have never seen spiders in any of the Villas we've stayed in. We have never stayed on the ground floor.
