Thank you, our phones are locked to 02 but I will look into a data only sim with themThis has just cropped up on the UK planning forum http://www.disboards.com/threads/up-to-date-mobile-advice.3513141/ - options mentioned there included a 1 one month sim-only deal with 3.
When are you going? I ask because there have been some rumblings that DLR will soon be getting a version of FP+ and if that happens I would imagine they would need to offer wifi in the parks, so stay tuned!
Thank youI have a phone that can take two SIM cards. I usually stay two weeks, and one of my local friends always gets me a prepaid SIM. The provider I normally use works with T-Online and I pay around $ 25 for a month work of unlimited calls (including international), text and a data amount I have never ever used. Texts and calls from my main SIM still come through if needed.
We are there August 1st through 5th this yearWhen are you going? I ask because there have been some rumblings that DLR will soon be getting a version of FP+ and if that happens I would imagine they would need to offer wifi in the parks, so stay tuned!
I was thinking perhaps we could keep husbands phone with normal sim - turn off data roaming but forward any of my calls to his phone. That would free my phone up to take a data sim for use in the parks. That being said the phone deals in Walmart seem really cheap - can pick up a smart phone for circa $20 then just grab a sim to go in it. Choices, choices!I've been thinking about this recently, usually I make use of the free wifi at WDW but like you say there isn't any at DLR. I really want use of the internet for wait times, what characters are out etc but replacing the sim while I'm away will be a nightmare for if anyone needs to get in touch and like you my phone is locked to my current network. I feel like I'm just going to have to suck up the extortionate roaming costs
