I've checked their website but it appears you have to call to have the price quoted to you. How much is the discount? Is it any better than the AAA? We could use either one if we stayed there and I'm wondering which might be worth using. I've decided I put off planning this trip long enough, if we are ever going to go I need to bite the bullet and book a room somewhere :goodvibes Thanks!

I'm sort of new to this so someone may have to correct me but...
When I called to check out teacher's rates for my April trip, I noticed the rates were the same as the government rate when I looked online so that may help give you an idea.
As a AAA member, I found out that the teacher's rate was definitely better than AAA but some of the AAA rates come with a promotion like 2 free breakfasts or resort credit.
I ended up booking the promotion of Better Tomorrows which is regular rate the first night and then 40% off the second night and so on. It had a great deal for an alcove room at the Swan so I took it.
;)

Just call Swan and Dolphin. They will give you prices and tell you availability for your dates right then and there. Very easy.

We used it 3 years ago and it was the best rate I could find at the time. I dont remember exactly what it was. We were a little nervous because it wasnt a Disney Hotel but we loved it!!! I remember there being some fee tacked on the bill for the newspaper, fitness room and parking. If I remember correctly that is what it was for. We asked about it and they took it off for us.

According to the website, the teacher rate is $149.00 per night, and the offer is good through 12/24/11.

We were quoted $269 per night for a Jr suite at the Dolphin, 650 sq feet, sleeps 6 in 2 double beds with a pull out sofa. That was the nurse rate which I believe is the same as Teacher. When I asked what the regular rate was it was $289, so it was only $20 off. We ended up buying an AP for 40% off a deluxe room at BWI, it was more expensive, but is club level, and I could not sleep in a double bed with DH for 9 nights, Queen is hard enough!

I stayed there last month at the educator rate of $149.00 a night. Great resort, I have been staying there with the discount rate for years. The rate used to be $129.00 a night but still a bargain :)

Thanks! I knew if I asked someone here was bound to have the information :)

Ain't that the truth ;) DH works away the majority of the time so when he's home we joke that our King isn't big enough for the two of us. LOL

Oh, and if anyone else should come along and read this thread ... if you've stayed there what did you like or not like about it?
