Question for those who work for Family

Do people act like you do not have a "real" job? I work about 32- 35 hours per week. and people seem to think I can just come & go when I feel like it.

YES!! I used ot work for my MIL at a daycare. Now that i am not there, my friend always says 'so what's it like to have a REAL job' or ' welcome the the REAL world'
I'm not sure if she means it as in i worked for family (like it's a piece of cake to work with the MIL) or as if working at a daycare is not a real job. IMO, taking care of OP children is one of the MOST important jobs there is!!!
