Question for those who rec'd and used pin

We already had to let the 40% code pass us by earlier this year. But the free dining pin came a couple weeks ago. And I'm starting to wear DH down. Then, for various reasons, we kind of "owe" my parents a trip.

Here is my question:

If we really feel like this is something we can/should do, can we make reservations for ourselves using the pin and then add on a room should they decide to come for the same discount?

They are out of town now so I don't have the opportunity to get an answer. I can work on my mom next week as she comes home first. She's already told me she'd like to tag along on some WDW trip. My dad will be tougher to convince. But he's harder to travel with anyway.

Clearly I'll ask reservations when I call, but I can get an answer faster from the all-knowledgeable.

Thanks. We're almost to the 60 day mark anyway. And I don't think we'll be able to go because it will cost us too many miles. For 12500, we'd do it, not for 37,500. We'll see.

I think it's just talk for now.

The worst they are going to say is no, and there is always a chance they will say yes.

So, I did call so this post is FYI....

I did seem to get the room rates they are offering ($92 per night at Pop). Maybe not.

Also, since I am close to my travel time (about 65 days out) she suggested I book the two rooms if I book and cancel if necessary-within 45 days it's refundable.

That's what I know.
