Since it opened up six years ago, I've considered Amazing Adventures of Spiderman as the best overall ride in the world (with Indiana Jones at DL being a close second). Does this new Mummy ride surpass those in the overall "wow" factor?
Just my opinion, but to me Mummy isn't overtaking Spiderman in the overall wow factor. Don't get me wrong it's a pretty awesome ride, but Spiderman just floors me everytime I ride it. The only thing I wished were different for Mummy, is that it were longer . I have not ridden Indiana Jones but from what I've seen, and heard it looks pretty incredible itself. I'm one of the only people who liked Countdown To Extinction at AK( have not ridden it as Dinosaur yet) so I can only imagine how great Indiana Jones must be. Plus add the fact that Mummy still isn't 100% complete either.
I still like Spidey, and MIB over Mummy.
Like I said at the begining, it's just my opinion, and means nothing
I like Mummy better than Spiderman, but that's because I love the thrill of the roller-coaster style that makes up the Mummy. Though I have to agree with seahag that they are different classes...hard to really compare them, except on personal preference based on favorite type of ride.
Spidey is neat because it mixes simulation and dark ride....never ceases to impress. Though I have ridden it one too many times, and have no intention on going on it again anytime soon.
Mummy, because of the coaster elements, is more exciting IMO. Though I hate the bug part...

From what I understand, Indy and Dinosaur are the exact same ride. Same track, same movements, same jerks back and forth. But obviously different theming. I like both.
As for the bugs in Mummy, how realistic are they? And how realistic are the overall animatronics?
