I am considering doing a PI after I graduate in May. My dream is Guest Relations but I am also interested in Marketing/Communications as I am an Advertising Major. My concern is about being able to pay bills. I found out from someone who did a GR PI that she made $9.25 an hour, that isn't really that much.
After 6 months I will need to start paying back my Student loans, and it is a lot of money.
It is my dream to do GR but there is also a possibility that I might get an offer at General Motors, which would pay a lot more.
So if you did a PI, were you able to manage your money and pay rent, loan repayment, credit cards, car payment etc?
I don't want to give up on my dream but part of me is very practical in saying I should take a higher paying offer elsewhere if it is available.
