I've been toying with the idea and have read the threads but I have a question for those of you doing this. What's with the lime green color shirts? Is this a special code or something I don't know about? Or they're on sale at Walmart?

Not that I have anything against lime green, I just wondered. One of us suggested orange for Halloween but since there will probably be orange everywhere, I thought that might defeat the purpose of trying to spot our group members.

Can't do white...unless it's a biiiiiiiiiggggggg logo on the front :rotfl:

Not pink, too much testosterone in the group...Purple? Blue?

Pros/cons anyone?

And how many different ones would you do?

I don't do the matching shirts, but lime green is the official color of the DIS. It helps identify other DISers.

ETA- purple, black and green are the other Halloween colors, so that may help you decide

Our moms group did tye died orange shirts for park outings this summer. Maybe that would work--it doesn't look quite the same as plane orange.

Having the same testostorone problem..lol, only DH but he seems to think that he shouldn't have to wear pink even though the girls outrank him. lol

We usually buy one matching shirt for all of us while we are there so we can have a family photo taken. I try to dress us girls in the same color but not necessarily matching shirts and DH tries to blend--he might wear red if we are all wearing pink. Having the girls in the same color looks really nice in the pictures and it can help you find missing family members. The girls were in orange the day we went to AK--well it started pouring rain and we dashed for cover. When we found some dry ground we were missing DH and the baby!! I went back out where we had last seen them and looked for the man carrying the baby with a bright orange shirt.....

I don't normally do matching, but as this will be our DS's first trip, I got us lots of matching things!!!! Matching flag shirts from Old Navy and from the Disney store. Plus matching Aloha outfits to wear to the Hoop Dee Doo on DS's 1st birthday! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We're doing the matching shirts too.....except when it's my birthday(matching color different design :sunny: )....we are trying to find iron ons that we can design ourselves and decide on a color....pink and orange look absolutely horrid on my husband so he has no worries there :cool1: and I think I am going to try and find similar shorts.....cut down on the loads of laundry!!

I made a few T-shirts for DS using clipart from this site....http://www.magicalears.com/clipart/ I also downloaded the disney font from www.dafont.com and use that to put his name and any other info on a t-shirt. Then I buy the iron ons from Staples (any other office supply store should have them) and print them and iron them right on - they come out GREAT!!!!!

Any hints on how to do that?

Check out the homemade t-shirts thread on the theme park forum. Lots of info on all kinds of shirts and instructions on how to do the tie dye ones (still seems too complicated for me - I'll stick to iron ons!)

Sorry I'm an idiot when it comes to computers :badpc: I loved the font site. I downloaded the mickey font but I don't know how to incorporate it into my documents??? Could you help? Pretty please... :worship: :worship: :teeth:

I guess I'm not such an idiot after all. I figured it out. :cheer2:
By reading the directions. ;)

Here's an idea. My parents also wore these shirts that day.

For are upcoming trip in October I bought the Disney Logo T's for the whole family. We are just going to wear them to MK. However I would not recommend them. The print on them is very light. I guess for 3.19 a piece what can you expect. I am just glad I did not pay full price.

We are the nerd family, becaause we have a nerd Mom--me! We are wearing Matching shirts everyday of our trip. I went to the Disney store several times and bought matching shirts on sale. Usually they were on clearance plus a percentage off. I averages $3.88 per shirt including tax.

I also am making tye-dye Mickey shirts for the plane ride their and back.

On one of the Disney sites, you can download incredible t-shirt iron ons. I tie-dyed tank tops red and then added the Incredile dad, mom, violet, and Dash onto t-shirts for us to wear when we are there. It makes nice pictures as someone has already stated. The DD's like it and hubby is okay..goes with the flow sometimes. Enjoy. It is really a lot of fun. :sunny:

Stitch inside,
Where did you get your incredibles shirts? I did not see any at the Disney store.......
Thanks!!! :cool1:
It's funny you should ask. When we wore these at WDW we were stopped many many times and asked where we got them. I told one guy, "At the Disney Store," and he looked like he wanted to punch me. I guess I should have been more specific. DW found them at the Disney Store in Greensboro, NC. Apparently, the adult sizes are hard to find.
