I am seeing SW outbound at $145... it was $160 yesterday. Will I see much better than this for the outbound flight in July?

My inbound is $109 (that won't be problem) there are several choices

AirTran can usually be picked up at <$100 each way if you plan in advance. Granted you have to add baggage fees but SW often is not the cheapest when I check from CMH

Keep an eye on it. I think it could very likely go down. Unfortunately there's also the possibility it could go up. A few months ago the fares for July were about $125 for the CMH to MCO leg. Some of them dropped under $100 for a brief period in February, but now are back up. I was able to book $77 for the flight down for my August trip. Those fares are now up to $140.

You can book the $145 now and modify the reservation to a lower fare if it drops. The difference will be a credit toward later travel that has to be used within a year of the purchase date.

I have two issues with Airtran:

1) They only have 1 non-stop flight CMH to MCO per day.
2) They are known to change flight times, add stops to non-stop flights, and generally screw around with their schedule.

Southwest has 3 (it might even be 4) non-stops per day. And once their schedule is announced, they don't change it.

Don't be scared of AirTran! We have flown them twice on their one non-stop flight, booking each time MONTHS out and they have never dropped that flight. Now don't hold me to that, I don't want to be responsible if they do, just saying, don't let others scare you :rotfl:

They have changed our flight time though......by 5 minutes...oh the horror :scared1: ;)

Our most recent flights on AirTran that we booked over Memorial Day weekend were booked for around $140/roundtrip, not too shabby!
