In Orlando, you can't buy hard liquor on Sundays, just beer and wine.

Bars are required to stop serving alcohol at 2am.

That I don't know. I don't know of any liquor stores that are open that late. The ones near us close in the 9pm-11pm range as far as I know.

But we live a bit off the beaten path, out in the 'burbs. No idea what would be the case in the tourist corridor.

I'd still plan on stocking up during daylight hours if planning to buy at stores and not bars.

And in that area, you're probably better off finding an "ABC Liquor" location than an mom-and-pop operation. They tend to have better prices. There is one in the Lake Buena Vista area.

Liquor has to be purchased at a place separate from beer, and yes, I think they stop selling it around 11. You can buy beer at just about any gas station till 2am.

Does that help? And it's just Orlando that does not sell on Sundays. I have tried to buy beer at a Publix on a Sunday only to be told "Sorry, but if you go across the street, that's un-incorporated Orange county, you can buy it there".

And of course, Disney is Disney and they can do what they want!

Technically it is illegal to sell liquor or beer here on Sundays; however, with an added fee, a retailer can get an exemption to the law with their license. So I know how that goes, and besides, like you said: Disney is Disney.

So to sum it up:

•Go to an "ABC Liquor" for spirits, during the daylight hours except on Sunday.
•Publix or a gas station (I don't understand that--that's illegal here. Doesn't that encourage you to drink and drive?) is the place to get beer and wine, up until 2am.
•Don't plan on partying it up at the bar past 2am.

Any illegal liquors? High proof stuff, like Everclear, Barcardi 151, etc.?

I know you can get Bacardi 151, not sure of the others. Is this for your vacation? Because the Walgreens on 535 just down the street from I-4 pretty much sells everything, and is not bound by Orlando blue laws.

I know when I moved here from Mass I was shocked that they sold beer in gas stations!

When I moved from New Mexico, I was shocked that I couldn't buy hard liquor at gas stations. Or Supermarkets.

In Ohio you dont even need to get out of the car, they have drive through package stores!
