Question for the locals.

Most of us have a restaurant that we frequent in our home towns.

Do any of the locals have a restaurant in the parks or at the resorts that they go to monthly or bimonthly because it is always good?

Overall I have been disappointed with the quality of the food at the Disney TS restaurants.
Since most of us are only there once or twice a year it can be frustrating.

We try to make sense of all the other opinions here, but for every bad review there is a good review. There are people that have not been in a few years and say a location is great. There are people who say everything at Disney is great.
For every place I really dislike there is someone who swears by it. (San Angel Inn)

It would be interesting to hear the opinions of the locals since they can go any day, if they can get an ADR.

I used to go regularly to Alfredo's. It got to the point where I could show up without a reservation and get seated within five minues, no matter how long the line. It was my local (family) Italian Restaurant.

I would say that I will most often go to Kona. And for lunch if I am in MK I will go to the Plaza.

We go to Brown Derby, Sanaa, Boma, Trails End, Captains Galley, Kona Cafe, Toyoko Dining and The Plaza a lot. Columbia HH and Roaring Forks for counter service.

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a "Disney" restaurant, but we got to Wolfgang Puck's express and sometimes the cafe alot. They have consistently good pizzas, salads, and rotisserie chickens.

Boma, Kona, Columbia Harbour House, Wolfgang Puck Express.....

I feel like a local even though I am from Toronto.:lmao:

As local as we can be, (central FL 3 times, and S FL now) we stick to what has always been good since the day they opened the doors.

IL Mulino, Blue Zoo, Artist Point, Boma, Yak and Yeti, Sanaa, Waves

For breakfast..we stick to Garden Grove at Swan.
For a good burger we head to Picabo at Dolphin, actually, for a great home style type dinner we head to Picabo at Dolphin as well. Their pot roast is almost as good as mine, lol.

We lived in Orlando until 2007, and Shula's Steakhouse (in the Dolphin) is the best steak in Central Florida.

Thanks for the input everyone.

It seems that for the most part these are the same places I tend to eat at, so that is good news.

IL Mulino ( I preferred Alfredos though), Blue Zoo (My Favorite),Shula's , Artist Point , Wolfgang Puck's , Kona Cafe, Artist Point

I also see I few that I have not tried so I will be giving those a shot.

We frequent
. . . Bistro de Paris
. . . Citricos
. . . Shula's
. . . Il Mulino

None in particular.
If I had to say one, I guess it would be Chefs. :confused3
There are some we do not frequent and would be a last choice. But it's a to each his own.
We always know we will get a good meal at Chefs, Maya Grill, Turf Club, Tutto's, and Garden View (Afternoon Tea). Have eaten at Sanaa enough times to say we have always had good luck there too. Although we were there a few weeks ago and the menu had down sized already.
Much of the meals stay consistent. Where we eat just depends on timing and where we will be.

Also worth a mention at Sanaa, was with someone allergic to mango who thought they were safe just not to order mango. However Sanaa's food has "hidden mango". They use it as filler/thickening in some of their dishes.
