My wife and I no longer exchange Valentines gifts (our anniversary falls soon before Valentines day and our birthdays fall soon after), but when we were dating, Mandy sent me a single rose in a simple vase. Guys don't normally get flowers, so it had quite an impact (I still have the vase in my office).

I also agree that a hand written card is always best.

Okay, I am not a man. But, Jim REALLY liked it when I got him some (don't laugh) coat hangers that lock kind of like they have in hotels. He pefers black ones, so I got some black ones that were more expensive. In fact, the other night he told me they will be with him the rest of his life because nothing else can last that long (like electronics....)

He wants a cast iron skillet this Valentine's Day (he cooks/ I clean)
