Hi everyone! We are a family of 4 ,taking our two children (9 and 11) to Disneyworld for the first time. We went to Disneyland five years ago, but promised them another Disney trip when they would be tall enough to ride everything. We will be staying at the Swan Hotel and have park reservations on 11/21-11/25. We currently have scheduled: 11/21-Epcot; 11/22-AK; 11/23--HS; 11/24--MK; and 11/25--HS. We've secured advance dining reservations at several of the parks. Recently, I've seen some trip reports to avoid Epcot on weekends due to high wait times for attractions. We originally chose Epcot as the first park since it is more educational with fewer "thrilling" attractions, plus lots of construction. We were planning to start at World Showcase and end up in Future World later in the day to avoid some of the Food & Wine festival-goers. If this was your trip, would you switch around your reservations to have Epcot be on a weekday (and probably lose ADRs)? Or, since this is Thanksgiving break, will most the parks be reaching capacity each day anyway so it won't matter as much? Thank you so much!

I can’t speak to Thanksgiving Day crowds, but I think Epcot will be one of the least crowded parks on any given day (other than AK).

We have been on 3-4 Thanksgiving Week trips and have been to Epcot either on Black Friday or Sat after for the storytellers and Candlelight Processional which they won’t have this year and did not find it too bad but we already had a day there earlier in the trip. We find that entire week crowded but manageable since we make our FPs and ADRs. I know things are a little different with COVID but I think you should just go with what you planned and have fun.

Our Epcot day is black Friday, fingers crossed.
We will be there that day as well. I know it will probably be mobbed being the first day of the festival, but we really want to see the festival and we are coming back home on Saturday the 28th, so we didn't have a lot of options.

I agree...we go home on Sunday, 11/29 so we figured either Epcot or AK on either Friday or Saturday and at that point I think both days will be bad but oh well we will make the best of it. Just super excited to be there during the holidays so that is all that actually matters and a break from 2020. Enjoy!!
