Question for someone in clothing retail..

When will shorts be available? I'm ready to start clothes shopping for my vacation but all I seem to see in the store are still end of season sales.

I work at Target and we already have all our summer clothes out, including swimsuits.

Were they put out within the last week? I was at our Target here in Dallas two weeks ago and the closest thing I could find were capris.

I also work at Target and I have had childrens summer out for more than a month. As well as bathing suits for woman. Just a little tip,some womens bathing suits have gone clearance in my store already, and more will go soon, to make room for the next line to come in. So check back.

I work at Wal-Mart and even though we have 6 inches of snow on the ground there are swimsuits and shorts already out...lol! People come up here to ski and try to find winter clothes and all we have are summer...so funny!

It's crazy isn't it.

We have folks that come to Phoenix that need shorts and swimsuits - and the stores have winter coats on display. I've NEVER needed a winter coat here.
Of course the resort boutiques stock summer stuff year round - at a premium price of course.

All targets have a certain deadline to get things out. Sometimes they meet the deadline, sometimes they don't. It depends how busy they are and how many employees are working in softlines (clothes).

I would definitely check back every week, and even feel free to as someone.

Even though I worked in retail for years, it never ceases to amaze me how the biz works LOL I was shaking my head while I shopped the Valentine's Clearance Feb. 15 and all they had were summer clothes LOL
