How do you best combat color casts?

I tried with daylight from window and NO lights on inside only fill light camera right from window and flash bounced over my left shoulder but I still get horrible color casts in my daughter's hair.

Today's try for example
ISO 500 maybe too high? I dunno it is too underexposed if I don't bump it up though so I really should find a download for a manual for this flash

No flash hence the shadowing on the right
ISO 640
f/2.4

I do have a whibal coming and UPS should be here on the 23. But somehow I think the color casts will still be there. I will try cwb when it gets here but not sure how that works with my flash. I can also do the wb in adobe RAW.

If I am understanding correctly, you are using natural light and a flash. Mixing light sources can really mess up the WB. Also, it could just be me, but these seem overexposed. It almost hurts my eyes. But if you are planning on printing that might be alright. For that matter, if you plan on printing have you checked to see what the printed results look like?

what is the actual color of your seamless, and the color of the wall you are bouncing off of..

I might agree on the first one. The white dress is almost lacking detail due to the exposure. However, I do think the second one is just fine. Of course the exposure of the skin looks almost identical to me do I could be mistaken.

For that matter, I really don't see a horrible color cast. I perhaps see some effect, but it's pretty minor IMO.

See if you like this any better...

I added a little warmth, a little less green and turned down the exposure half a stop.

As was already mentioned, the color of the wall/ceiling you're bouncing your flash off of could be an issue. Or, if you're shooting in Auto white balance, all the pink could be fooling the camera...but easily fixed when processing.

Cute kid btw!
