We are headed back to RPR for our Jan. '08 visit. My husband really misses the place! We have a standard rate with platnium upgrade to the king suite. I have requested room 3600 and have added club. I know there are king suites on the club level. Is there any way to request them ahead of time or do we just hope to get lucky when we get there?? I can't believe how hard it is to get a suite and club service together. :confused3

Ughh, I am sorry to say this is one of my BIGGEST RPR complaints! In my experience, it is nearly impossible to get one of the King Suites on Club Level. They are 3700 (pool view) and 3701 (luau/courtyard view). The problem is, I am not 100% sure they are called King Suites once they are on the club floor. Maybe they call them something else?

I wish I could help you, but no email or amount of phone calls (to the LF line, the preferred suites line, the RPR directly), or even having the club staff call directly for me could get me a suite on the Club Floor. Most I was promised was a King Suite on the 6th floor with club privileges. And, I am sorry to say that most of my contacts at the RPR have left and I wouldn't know who to contact for you. :(

I am sorry. I really wish I knew and could help you. It honestly is one of the reasons that we haven't been back to the RPR in a while.

Thanks for the help, Jodie. I wonder if more people called and complained they would ever change their policy? I called the resort directly and they have us in 3600 right now with club privledges. They noted on the reservation that we wanted room 3700 if available upon check-in. I will let you know how it goes.

Have you stayed in a king suite? Is it worth being on a different floor than the club floor? My husband really wants to be on club level so I am wondering if we should just stick with the 7th floor? It is just so hard to trek back and forth with our son- when we were there last year we were two doors from the lounge and it was wonderful.

I will tell you that we HATED being on the 6th floor with club privileges. You are totally taking a detour to use the club lounge. Plus, they had not figured out a way to keep us from carrying 2 cards. We had the room key, and then a separate card that was our "club access" key. It was a pain. If you wanted a bottle of water before heading out to the park, you had to go up, walk the hall to the club lounge, and then back down and out. It wouldn't have been so bad if the lounge were on the way out. As it stood, we were so annoyed, we gave up a courtyard view on the 6th floor to be moved to a highway view on the 7th floor just for the convenience. That's how much we hated it.

Perhaps if you wrote an email to the RPR? I am telling you this as if I haven't tried it myself numerous times, but maybe you'll be more lucky than me?

I'm glad you fielded that one for me Jodie..... I didn't check the boards last night :rolleyes1 and we've never stayed in a King Suite OR Club Level :rotfl2: (apt to change now LF is higher level tho ;) )

Sorry I couldn't be more help........

After several calls to the resort we have made a reservation for the week before Christmas for 167.00 a night. I was told that rooms 3700 and 3701 are currently booked. We were told we could have king suite in tower 3 or tower 1 and they would comp club for us or we could have a regular room on club level. It has been noted on our reservation that if rooms 3700 or 3701 are avaliable upon check-in we can have one. Will let you know how it goes.

So what did you ask for???

We are still debating- my husband wants regular room on club level and I am leaning toward tower 1. Anyone have any suggestions on best room/view?

Wow! What a deal! You'll have to tell me how you got them to give you that. $167 for either a King Suite or Club room is awesome!

If you want a regular room on the Club Floor, PM me. It's the perfect view and close to the lounge.
