This is not intended as a debate so I hope it doesn't turn into one. For those of you voting Republican in the upcoming election; are you Bush supporters OR party supporters or both? Does that make sense? Thanks for your replies.

I'm more of a Bush supporter than a "Republican" - in smaller elections, I tend to go Libertarian.

I am no party. I just like the guy, think he is doing well, a tough time it is, both domestically, internationally

This describes me and my BF exactly as well. I'm picking Bush this year because IMO, he's the candidate who seems to care more about the issues I care about now (mostly defense, keeping taxes low for EVERYONE including those who make over 200K (as a matter of principle...trust me I make WAY under 200K, I just don't like the idea of taking from the rich to give to the poor...that seems kind of wrong to me).

I disagree with him and the republican party on MANY issues (gay marriage, death penalty).

Im more of a conservitive then I am a republican, and Bush is alright, I think he is a little to middle of the road for me.

I am voting for Bush, but I would vote out of my party if I thought the person would do a good job.

I'm registered as an independant, but I lean toward the Republicans. When it comes to voting I select the individual that will do best for my family and then this country.

I commend Kerry for his service in the military, along with President Bush (National Guard). Some may disagree with his National Guard service, but he did serve. I haven't decided who I'll vote for and probably won't make that decision until election day. However, I believe we need someone in the oval office who will be strong against terrorism, one that can make decisive decisions and one that will not waver when the "going gets tough."

I support Bush but have voted democratic in the past.

I mostly vote Republican. I will vote for W again, but not as enthusiastically as last time. But he's still my first choice.

I'm anti tax - that makes me mostly Republican because Democrats seem to almost always be for tax increases.

Sorry folks, but to be honest here, I am also just anti-democrat.

I will vote for Bush although he is actually too big government and moderate on some issues for me.

Yeah, that's me...go figure.

Have to say a combination as well.
I am from Texas so I feel like I have a lot of experience w/Bush and I really like him.
I am a Republican because I agree w/most of their views- small govt., Not down on higher income levels, and especially tough on crime. I am definitely in favor of the death penalty.
I disagree on abortion, stem cell research and a few other minor things.

I am now a Bush supporter. I heard him when he visited our little town in WV recently. Wow. He sure wasn't like the slanted sound bites one sees on the mainstream media. Very focused and connected. He spoke honestly and intelligently. I do not always vote Republican because in our area we don't always have a choice, so I pay careful attention to the candidate and his/her voting record.

I have always voted Republican because the Republican party's views are closer to mine than are the Democrats. I will vote for G.W. because too me, he is, hands down, the far superior candidate. I don't agree with him on every issue. I think he is too middle of the road on some things, he is no Reagan after all. But overall , I think he is doing a great job.

I'm a party voter. I'll vote for Bush, but I think we coulda done better.

BOTH I lived in Texas when he was governor and he did a fantastic job IMO. I was raised yellow-dog democrat but as soon as i started working and paying taxes, I saw the light.

I am a party supporter and I like Bush. I like the way Bush is handling the war on Terror. But I will tell you that I don't like some things that he's done or proposed.
