I think they have switched the two formal nights on the Magic. When we cruised in Sept. of 2000, Sunday was Captain Mickey's welcome gala, or something along those lines. Lobster was served in the dining rooms. Thursday was the other formal night, with the Captain's (the ACTUAL Captain) cocktail party preceeding it. In December of 2001, I think they were switched. I know we had lobster on Thursday night, and I think the pre-dinner greeting was with characters.
They've also "downgraded" the Thursday dinner to semi-formal. They listed the suggested dress as formal for both Sunday and Thursday on our Sept. 2000 trip.
