Question for new moms....shower gift

My favorite two items are a pack of cloth diapers and a pack of the open bottom gowns. These are so nice when you have an infant and are changing diapers freqently. Another item i discovered with DB is an Bumbo. He really enjoyed his.
I also really like the butt paste. it clears better than anything i ever used.

Bumbo's are off the market. They are supposed to be coming back with new warning labels, but I haven't seen them in stores or available online yet.

I have to laugh at the size recommendations- I think *everyone* must have followed that at my shower. I got all 3-6 month stuff, and size 1 and 2 diapers. So now we actually have to go out and buy 0-3 and NB clothing, and NB diapers!

I saw bumbo's at walmart yesterday..

IMO they recalled them for a totally stupid reason anyways.. What idiot puts their baby in a bumbo and sits him/her on a table or counter top?? LMAO

Ok, help me out. DB outgrew his months ago. Are they recalling the product or just relabling the warnings? i kept his and it is like new as it is one of those products that you use for such a narrow period of time. I don't want to pass on or save for another DB something that is dangerous. I can see falls if people did not use common caution with the seats, but used correctly, it was a great, fun product.

Unless it has lead in it?

Ok, I didn't really. DD happily used hers on the floor, and then when she outgrew it I brought it in to the daycare for their infant room so it can get some more use out of it. (and they also used it on the floor.)

The recall is not for the product. You don't have to send it back. If you really want the new warning labels you just contact the company. I have the common sense not to leave my child unattended on an elevated surface, so I didn't bother. I relayed the info to the daycare too...but they don't even have tables other than the teachers desk so they aren't worried.
