Question for my curly haired peeps?

Well, it happened again today. Some girl came up to me in mall and said "How do you get your hair like that" and I was like "Uh, this is my natural hair". LOL, she looked kinda upset and said "Oh."

yes, i have major curly hair and yes people ask me all the time how i got it that way ( i dont do much just wash, comb and run my fingers through it)

and yes everyone says that want my hair ( expect me :confused3)

and my parents both have natural curly hair

but if i dont keep it under control :scared1: oh boy watch out

I have naturally curly hair. But the curls are so tight i actually find it a pain when it's curly. When it's left to dry my hair looks like i've been pulled through a hedge backwards. Whenever i go to the hairdressers they always ask me whether my hair is real or not.
But my boyfriend says he doesn't mind my hair when it's been left to dry. I don't like it though.
We payed lots to have my hair chemically straightened and i find it so much easier to manage. But when it grow out it looks strange because i become accustomed to seeing my hair straight.

Yeah, I have those 'Shirley Temple' kind of curls. People think it's so fun to touch them until I give them my 'get away from me, weirdo' look.

My hair has always been super curly! It was so adorable when I was a baby and have curls sprouting up everywhere. Now it's just a pain.

I'm so jealous of everyone with curly hair. My hair is straight or wavy, depending on what I do with it... it's weird. But it's so hard to work with. It'll blow up and get all frizzy after I take a shower, which sucks, and then the next day, it'll be perfect except for the fact that it's greasy. And I lov the way curly hair looks. Almost all the girls in my grade who have this beautiful curly hair straighten it, and it's like, you're so lucky, just leave it! Anyone can have straight hair.

Hah that was me before chemo! Minus the greasy part. I feel for you, it's so hard to manage.
One thing I found that helped was Sunsilk's Anti-Poof and John Freida Frizz-Ease.
Curly hair isn't so easy though. I know I have to wash mine everyday if I want to keep the curls in. Otherwise, it'll get all "brushed" out during the night (I'm a crazy sleeper) and then it looks like a big wavy/curly poof ball.

I went to bed last night right after taking a shower. I was tired and not the mood to do anything else. And then, I woke up this morning and my hair has perfect spiral curls. It looks kind of like I put them in rollers....but I didn't. I just...slept and woke up. ^__^

My hair used to be MAJOR FRIZZ. And then I got it chemically straightened (once a few years ago-I don't do it anymore), learned how to keep it under control better, and now it's NO WHERE NEAR as bad as it used to be. If I hadn't done that tho....then omg. My hair was SO BAD. It was all over the place. ;>__<

Now, sometimes it will frizz up, but that's usually when it's really humid out. If it's raining, then my hair will get either wavy or like what it is right now. depending on how hard the rain is coming down. No one has ever asked me if it was natural, but I have had people run their hands through my hair before. TOTALLY FREAKS ME OUT. I need my bubble, guys! Please, don't invade it. :headache:

Sonya, does that stuff really help? I've been thinking about buying some for the days I leave my hair curly, but I don't know anybody who uses it. :)

For my curly hair, I've found that it doesn't. I've had more luck with Garnier Fructis for my curly hair. John Freida helped for my thick, wavy/funky longer hair, but not for my shorter, thinner, curly hair. Odd.
It can't hurt to try though. You can almost always find a free sample for it - I've gotten two from Walmart.com so far.
