question for moms of teen boys

My son (when he decides to use it) has a Gillette Fusion I think. It's the same one that my husband uses.

Yep Electric razor here too. There are many mornings that he is shaving in the car on the way to school (I'm driving not him!)
Lately though he's not shaving - he's trying to grow a beard! :rotfl2: Hair is not an issue with me so if he wants to look like shaggy from Scooby Doo it's his right.
I will try to encourage him to shave this week though as we are seeing all the relatives on Saturday. But if not- they'll get a full dose of Shaggy D.

I got my son a little mini-electric razor - he only needs it a few times a month. since there was so little hair I thought it would be easier than dealing with shaving cream. It was @$15 at Target

my oldest is a late bloomer. He had the peach fuzz all through middle school and it didn't start to thicken or get darker until last year I think. He's 17 now, will turn 18 in October. He did go to school with a kid, who in 6th grade had a full blown beard.

Middle son is the same way, he has the light peach fuzz on the corners of his mouth now, he just turned 14 in January. He also still has some baby teeth.

My son was a few months past his 13th bday. Mainly it was just his upper lip that needed it. We use that little electric shaver- touches it up every few weeks.

Once you start it grows in more quickly.

That's what I thought would happen if he started. He does do his upper lip. I can't even believe I'm talking about this..it seems like yesterday he went to Kindergarten.

I started like right after my 14th birthday, but all I really have is peach fuzz. It's dark though, and I don't look good in a mustache. I use my dad's electric whenever I shave.

My son turned 13 in March and I just made him shave for the first time. He was working on one of those teen beards, and it looked horrible - some hair over 1 inch in length and very scraggly.

I taught him how to shave using a standard razor with shaving cream, taught him how to properly moisturize his face afterward, and offered to buy him whatever razor he wanted afterward.

I don't want to think about my 13 year old shaving. :sad1:

He only has peach fuzz at the moment, but some of his 7th grade classmates have dark, thick mustaches! :scared1:

I told DS20 to let me know when he wanted to start shaving and I would get him a good razor. I wanted him to have an electric one since he has tremors and I didn't want a regular razor on his neck! :scared1:When he was 14 or 15, he came to me and said he wanted to shave and I bought him a Norelco "Cool something" razor. I can't remember the rest of it, but Cool is part of it. You can use it in the shower or whatever and costs about $90 back then. It also has the aftershave stuff in it so it doesn't eat up his face. He loves it!

Ugh! Mine refuses to shave. He's got a dark but thin mustache but I noticed last night he has chin hair. I told DH he needed to teach DS how to shave and DS said no way! LOL

I saw the title and thought hey I have two teens boys! Then I read the subject and can't offer an answer. My 13 and 17 year old boys don't need to shave. Fair, blonde - so when does that happen? They have hair everywhere else!:rotfl:
