Tia,

I saw that the Crystal Palace meet is at 5pm on Sunday, what time do the make people leave the park before the MVMCP? Will you have time to dine and all....I am not familiar with the MVMCP, so I wasn't sure how they administered to the crowds.

I search for some information on the MVMCP at Deb Wills site and it stated that the parks close at 5pm, and everyone must exit the park. Then those with MVMCP will be re-admitted at 7pm, it says they sometimes let them in early. I am not sure if it means exited out the gates, or just exiting to the Main Street area. Has anyone done this before, and how does it work?

Thanks

If you have a PS you can stay at your restaurant. All other guests leave the PARK, out the gate. The park generally reopens shortly before the announced start time, 7 PM. If you are in teh park, at a restaurant, you can generally leave the restaurant to go into the park about 20 minutes or so before the 7 PM time.

Sorry Pat. :( Thanks for the PM. :)

Thanks Dan. :) You said it! That's why it is imperative that we get a PS for 4:30-4:45PM :D :D

I am still dreading making a PS for this....... .........everyone will have to make their own because I don't think I want to put 30-40 people on MY credit card......as much as I love you guys......that's an awful big risk!!! ;)

I'll start reminding people a few days before Oct. 3rd. :) :) :)

Tia,

Should I change the meeting time from 5pm to 4:30 or 4:45 on the itenerary?

According to the Disney site, the MK will close at 6:00 on MVMCP nights. I think a PS for before 5:00 is TOO early. If I were making my own PS, I'd try for 5:30.

There's no credit card involved when making a PS - unless they have changed something. Steve already has the names of the people who will be dining with him on Dec. 2nd.

Hi Nancy.

I noticed that......but I'm still wondering if that might change.....one hour doesn't seem long enough to 'prepare' As it gets closer to Oct. 3rd, I will keep an eye on these hours....I'm hoping WDW will post their Dec. hours ASAP. :)

About the credit card.......I didn't make myself clear.........I meant that if I got a group PS for 30 or 40 people, they want you to secure it with a credit card. For each person who changes they could bill you $10. So if you make your PS for 30 people and only 22 show up, I would be billed $80 for the no-shows! That is through group dining. That is why I think people should make thier own PS's~~granted they can get together and make groups and book their tables that way......like Steve is doing. And me too! :)

Nancy,

I got my information from Deb Wills site at http://wdwig.com/hol_mk.htm this site is ussually pretty reliable. I know that the MVMCP is to start an hour earlier than last year. So I wonder if you had outdated information. Or maybe Debs site is wrong. But I guess someone needs to find out anyhow....LOL

So I will research some more when I return from work this evening. Or if someone has done it before I get back, that would be great :)

November's park hours were just posted at http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wa...dex?id=SEMagicKingdomLocationCrit&date=112001 - and according to it, the MK closes at 6:00 on Nov. 29 and 30. I think there was speculation that the MK would close at 5:00 because last year it closed 2 hours before the 8:00 MVMCP. Hours are subject to change - so we may have to wait and see. In any event - it won't take 2 hours to eat a buffet meal, so I'd still be hesitant to make a PS much earlier than 5:30.

Tia - I agree that people should form their own groups for dinner. Besides, it's nearly impossible for a large group to tour a park together, and I certainly don't intend to follow the herd for 5 hours at MVMCP!

LOL about the 'herd' Nancy. :D

I agree that herds get NO WHERE fast!

I'm going to follow my kids, and anyone who wants to follow us is more than welcome to. :)

Dan, we're doing Splash Mountain together, right? :D

Definitely don't want to make a PS earlier than need be.......I'll keep my eyes open for this one.

I'll ask around on other boards too. :)

I called Customer Service tonight, and he said the park 1 hour before the MVMCP, SO I guess that means it will close at 6pm. So if you want me to put it back to 5pm I will, or even later.

Well Pat......you keep asking and I keep giving you different answers......does anyone else have an opinion about this??? Should we try to make our PS's for 4:30 or 5:00 or 5:30 or 6:00????

Any input will be greatly appreciated! :)

Here's my 2 cents: I'd try to get PS's for 5:30. Once you're in and seated, an hour to eat and see the characters should be plenty of time.

Nancy, let's just play with the scenerio to put my mind at ease (LOL)......

What if I have a PS for 5:30, but the park REALLY DOES close at 5:00pm that night...

1) We have to leave the park, right?

2) Do they let us back in for our PS?

3) Or do they not accept for PS's passed the time the park closes?

Thanks for playing along Nancy. ;)

Tia, I think when we call for the PS, we'll get the answers we need. We can try for a 5:30 PS, and go from there. If they don't let us do 5:30, try 5:15 and then 5:00. I agree with Nancy in that we don't want to get done with dinner too soon. The idea is to remain in the park, eating dinner, while everyone else is shuffled out. I hadn't given any thought as to who I would hang around with that night. I guess I figured we break off into groups and do our own thing. I really would like to ride SM with you, your family and Dan, though!

I intend on trying to make the PS for my table (it's for 10 people) for around 5:30pm. I'll do this on October 3rd. It's all going to be a matter of playing it by ear, and taking what I can get. I'm sure there will be a ton of people trying to do the same thing, and if I'm unable to get a PS, I'll try the Liberty Tree next. I believe I'll have access to a computer while I'm at the World, so I will let the people at my table know as soon as I make the PS.

I concur. :D I'll try to make my PS for as close to 5:30 as possible....anywhere between 5:00 and 6:00.

If I can't get a PS for CP at this time, I will try Liberty Tree Tavern. :)

So, yes Pat. Please change it to 5:30~~if you haven't already. :) Thanks everyone. :)

Thank you Pat. :)

Sounds like a plan, Steve and Tia. And, thanks, Pat.

Remember for a time change, Linda and marsha will have to approve. I sent Linda an email concerning this.

I did change it on the itenerary, but I can change it back if it conflicts with her schedule.

I have no problem adding a description, or anyone who volunteers to host a Mini-Meet we have no host for...(hint..hint..volunteers :D )

but changes in times and adding events I have to get approval from the powers that be :-) and linda won't be back from out of town for a few days, so I will wait for her response.
