Question for Intimate Brides about wedding cake...

I have seen a couple of intimate brides that were able to have the white chocolate castles as their cake toppers for their weddings. How did you go about doing this? Did your EM handle it, did you personally order it from Impressions, or did you contact the bakery that was making the cake (boardwalk or Grand Floridian)?

Thats a great question .... just want to bump it up some! I thought about doing that to my cake since I have a cinderella theme but honestly I have just fell in love with the mickey and minnie topper included in the package. Hope you get some feed back !!! :thewave:

When I had my intimate vow renewal last year I just asked my EM about it and she took care of it. At that time the small castle cost $100. I still got the Mickey and Minnie cake topper and it was placed on the cake table at the reception.

I don't know if this is helpful, but we got a completely different cake for our Intimate Wedding - 2 large square layers with edible roses on the top in our wedding colors instead of the Disney topper - so you can get something different than what they offer, but you have to pay for it (for us it was over $250!). We still got the Mickey and Minnie topper, it was packaged up for us separatetly. Happy planning!

My EM recommended I order it from Shelly since my wedding was at SBP. There would have been a delivery charge if I ordered it from the GF bakery.
Shelly sent it to my EM who got it to the BW bakery to be put on my cake.
It was beautiful and everyone loved it. Plus it didn't make it home in one piece so I had to eat it LOL.

Disney can do anything you want for a fee.

The castle topper can be ordered for any intimate wedding with the following guidelines.

If your reception is at the Grand, the castle can be added for (I believe) 110.00

If your reception is at any other location (i.e. Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach, etc), then the coordinator must order it thru Shelley or have that locations bakery obtain one from the Grand bakery.

As far as customizing your intimate wedding cake, that must be taken up with your EM to obtain a price. Customizing a cake thru the Grand bakery can, and has been done. As the other resorts obtain their cakes from an outside source, you would have to give your EM a LOT of time to plan.

I tried to upgrade my cake, and was told that it can't be done (anymore). What she did suggested was to get a 'special occassion cake' at our dinner. So I ordered the cake I truley wanted (silver Mickey heads) from the Yachtclub bakery to be delivered to our dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. So I get 2 cakes and 4 different flavors even better then my origanal idea of just upgrading the first one hehe.
