We have been to DL many times and find that 3 day passes work out well for us. We feel we get everything we want to do done.

But now we are going back this summer and we are bringing kids friends. I am wondering if I should get 4 day passes. I am thinking with it being busier with summertime and also with cars land maybe 4 days is a better option.

I just dont want to pay the extra money if we won't use them. I am all about going every day but the kids are always like MOM......

What are your thoughts?

We have a trip planned for Sep and added a day to our normal stay figuring Cars Land will require more time because of crowds and because it will be new to us and we might want to spend more time there.

I don't know what to say, we bought 5 day park hopper passes and it definitely wasn't enough disney for us! we had a bunch of things we didn't get to do...
as for the crowds, I bet that even in high season if you know how to get around the parks and when to visit each attraction you won't have your schedule too affected by the long lines.

we always do space mountain, splash mountain and big thunder mountain right when the park opens and we never have to wait for long. or of course, we get fast passes for any of them. closing time is a great way to ride them even twice in a row.

then there are other attractions we rarely do, even when we think they're cool (peter pan, dumbo or the teacups). we never wait more than 15 minutes for those.

Maybe you would want to split your group in two, the die hard fans get to get the 4 day tickets and the others get the 3 day tickets, and they might want to go to a different SoCal theme park for the extra day if they feel it's too much disney

I'd definitely buy the 4 day tickets if I were you, but I'm not sure about the others in your group

I definitely think 4 is a minimum for this Summer.

Last July we drove down to Anaheim during the 'Carmageddon' scare. We were imagining sitting in 10 hours+ of traffic, so we were overjoyed when we found smooth sailing the entire way! We arrived at GCH at about 12:30 in the afternoon, but we had been expecting 4:30 pm or later.

Faced with a free afternoon we hadn't anticipated, we instantly upgraded our 3 day passes to 4 days at the front desk of the hotel. It cost us $15 apiece and we were able to go into the parks and enjoy a great afternoon.

So... long story short, I say buy the 3 day passes, then when you get there, if you think you want another day, upgrade on the spot. It won't be very expensive and you'll be keeping your options open.

We are going in may before the opening of Carsland (probably before anyway) and we decided to do 4 days instead of our usual 3 because our of our DD (3). There are alot more shows and rides she can see now that we didnt do before because she was too small or not interested. With a planned AG lunch, BBB appointment, and all the shows not including WOC, and F! we decided that the 4th day was worth it.
