Okay I'm a newbie when it comes to this digital camera stuff.

My Memory Card is full. I don't want to take it somewhere to have it uploaded to a cd. Can any of you explain to me how you get your pictures off your memory card to a cd?

Is there one method, or does it vary from computer to computer? I'm so confused. TIA!

If you have a card reader (and if you do not, a great $15-$20 investment), it acts just like another frive, usually the E or F drive. You just take the card, stick it in the reader, and burn a CD as you would any other. The pictures are jsut files. You could actually just drag and drop, copy and paste or use a software program, such as Roxio or sililar, or built in, if using XP. I usually copy to both my hard drive as well as a CD, primarily for backup, using the hard drive as my working drive when I am working on pictures.

Does that all make sense, LOL?? It sometimes can be confusing.

Dan-

Thanks for the quick reply. I did make the investment and bought a card reader. I'll try using the Roxio software I have on my computer. I'll PM you if I still have questions. You're the best!

I'm sooooo not the expert here...but I'll try to explain what I do. Our computer came with a cord attachment that connects the camera to our computer. Once pluged in, the computer gives me a prompt to open the folder with the shots I've taken. Once I've saved these to my hard-drive, I'm then free to erase them from the camera.

Now that I've typed this, it doesn't seem too clear and there is probably a better way...but at least I bumped the thread so someone else more knowledgeable will jump in an answer.:teeth:

Good luck!
