Question for CP alums!: Location requests

Hi everyone!

I'm a Fall '13 WDWCP hopeful who is obsessing!! haha.

One of my top 3 role choices is going to be Attractions. However, I would prefer to be at a show, preferably in DHS (i.e. Fantasmic, Beauty and the Beast Live, Indiana Jones, etc). My previous work experience is also in events. I work at my school's performing arts center as an usher. Some of my tasks include helping patrons find their seats, crowd control, post-show clean-up, and many more!!

I know that requests are never guarunteed, but because I do have this type of experience (and love what I do!), if I was to request a show, is there a strong likelihood that I would be placed in that type of role?

The experience you outlined is something you ought to bring up in your interview.

In a lot of locations, College Recruiting has very little say as to where someone may be assigned. Sometimes, Recruiting can place someone in a general area, but the labor team for that area actually decides who is being trained where.
