For our Dec. trip, we're planning to see Bob Jackson's show for the 1st time at POR. I see that he plays from 8:30 pm to midnite.

Do you guys typically stay for his whole show? Does he repeat song sets?

I'm trying to get an idea of how much time to allocate.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks.

When we saw him the first time in '05 he did at least 2 sets. We stayed until the end of the first one, I think a little over an hour. He rests in between sets and, my goodness, once you see his show you'll understand why. VERY high energy. And EVERYONE gets involved! There were a lot of children there and all had a blast!

Many if not most songs are typically repeated at all shows. But its so much fun you probably won't care!

My advice would be to stake out a table or booth before his first set. He came around and chatted with DSis and I for a minute or so, as well as others waiting for the show to begin, before he got started. Turns out, he makes this part of his show, but you shouldn't mind. ;)

Sarah. Sarah.
Sittin' on the shed house door.:woohoo:

Omg, we LOVE Bob. We have never stayed for the whole show, though. We're usually on our way back in from the parks when we hear him and stop by for a drink. He is tons of fun. :thumbsup2

I am so glad someone started this thread! I have one night set aside to watch Bob on POR. We are staying at POR for the first time, so wasn't sure how the show worked, how long it lasted, etc! I have heard he is a hoot!!!!:lmao:

I would get there around 7:30 to get a table. We order snacks from their menu and make it our dinner for the night. We usually order about 3 times during the show and leave after the first set so others can have a seat.

He is so much fun. Often we will only stay for parts of his show. When we stay for the whole thing it is always a hoot. It does get crowded so if you want a table and want to be in the middle of things you need to get there ahead of time. Otherwise, many stay the whole evening so there are times when tables do not open up for you to sit.
