Question for BLT experts

I stayed at BLT earlier this month in a 2-Bedroom dedicated unit. We loved the unit and after viewing several videos online, I have noticed a difference between some of the units. There is a free standing island in the kitchen area of these units. From the videos I have watched, this island comes in two different styles. One island is designed where the counter top hangs over one edge of the frame and has two yellow bar stools so guests can sit at the island and eat. The other version of the island does not have the over hanging counter top and does not have the two yellow bar stools at all. This island counter top is much smaller. Although both units are 2-bedroom dedicated, they have different islands in the kitchen. Does anyone know which rooms or room numbers offer the larger islands with bar stools? I'll try to find some photos online to show the two different types and post them here.

As promised, click here http://allears.net/acc/bltdvc3.jpg to view a photo of the larger island with 2 bar stools and the over hanging counter top. As far as the smaller island, I could only find it on a video. This island doesn't appear until the video is about 3 minutes and 30 seconds into the shoot so be sure to keep your eye out for 3:30 on the timer as the video is playing. Certainly not an expert but our 1 BR on the Bay Lake side had the smaller style island. However, we also had a laundry room with shelves which I loved.

From what others have posted, it seems that the villas on the outside of the C have the larger island but stacked w/d. Those on the inside have the laundry room instead. I'll take the laundry room.:goodvibes

I had the 2 br dedicated on the "outer" part of the "C." The walls of these units taper out looking towards the window from the entrance and are wide enough to accomodate the larger islands with seating. Those units on the other side looking towards the pool are narrower; the walls are parallel and it would be too tight to have people sitting at the island. I didn't realize those units had a laundry room. To each his own; unlike BCV23 we like having seating at the island and a stacking washer & dryer suited us perfectly.

So I'm assuming all of the inside rooms which are not on the end of the building have the smaller islands and larger laundry area?

That would be my guess - just from looking at the floor plans you can see how the inner rooms have parallel walls like a traditional hotel room.

Just curious, do these villas have the same square footage?

Supposedly, but I think the ones on the outer part of the "C" have to be a little bigger. I don't see how they couldn't be.

Judging from the photos I've seen, the outer rooms have a much wider living room area. The glass windows appear to be about twice as wide as the inside rooms.

I've received the official word. If you want a room with the larger island in the kitchen, request an even number room.

Look for the fine print at the bottom of Disney videos... especially vacation planning video and DVC videos. They often have something to the likes of "villa furnishings may differ" in addition... "Avalibility limited" as they show TOTW lounge, etc.
