question for blizzard beach experts

we will be goingdown the last weekend in sept. i was wondering which day would be better at blizzard beach from a crowd standpoint. we have character breakfasts both the sunday and the monday, at 9:15 and 10:15 respectively. we want to go from the breakfast to blizzard beach.

I have another Blizzard Beach question if you don't mind...

I notice that BB is closed for refurbishment towards the end of Oct. and all of November...
What about December? Do you know if it will be re-opened in December?

smmast - my guess is that Sunday would be the most crowded as possibly many of the local residents visit the water parks over the weekend, in addition to the tourists.

ennazus - I'm sure someone can more definitively answer your question but from my quick search, it sounds as if BB will be closed for most of December. During this time, Typhoon Lagoon should be open.

i'm not sure what day would be best from a crowd point of view but i can tell you that you will want to get there as early as possible for two reasons:
1) you will want to get a chair that is under cover in a good location...these will go quick...we were there at opening in july and it was like rope drop sprint to space mountain at magic kingdom...
2) i'm not sure what the crowds will be like when you are there but i can tell you that when we were there at opening, for about the first hour or so, the lines were really short and easy to manage...waits were a couple of minutes...later in the afternoon the waits were upwards of 1/2 hour for some of the bigger slide attractions and the ski lift...and let me tell you, they have not done a real good job of keeping the waiting areas covered to keep you out of the sun....

in summary, maybe you should look to do this on a day that you don't have a character breakfast...that way you can get there at opening and won't have a "full belly" of food to run around with when you first arrive...the park does offer several options for meals that are very good...

our visit to blizzard beach was our first to a disney water park and i can tell you we had a blast and i hope to make it a regular part of our visit to the world in the future...

Another thing to note if your plans are flexible (this is a change we decide to make):

Monday would definitely be better than Sunday, but unfortunately, this year they are closing each of the water parks two days per week. On Mondays Typhoon Lagoon is closed, which means that BB will be the only water park open. I strongly suspect that means the crowds will be higher on Monday than they would be on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, since everyone who wants to go to a water park will have only one choice instead of two.

As sunking says, nothing beats getting there early, and it should be a slow period anyway, so this is just an additional consideration to keep in mind.
