Question for an experienced Renter?????

Hmmm.... I wonder if it's the same person I had. She had 5 posts and said she was a desparate teacher needing a break. I held the existing reservation for her after her initial email stating she would take it. She then strung me along stating they were getting plane reservations, etc. She was to pay by email.

In my final email I told her I would be cancelling as I was approaching the 31 day mark. I finally cancelled the reservation and I've never heard from her again. What a waste of time...... very frustrating. Hope your next experience is better!

It probably was the same group. She was to travel with her sister in law who was a teacher. I just got the other person. 4 weeks and no real commitment. Said she mailed the check 3 times...They also used the we have park tickets already and were shopping for flights. I cancelled today..

this is why when I rented to people I set up deadlines I was sure we could both live with....and I looked for people who were close to home or that i could empathize with.

no way anyone should wait much past the first "the check is in the mail reply". my other suggestion would be to use the telephone rather than e-mail when nudging someone. With the phone you can be reasonably sure the message will be received within a short timeframe...backing it up with an email to be certain.
