I'm sure this has been answered here before, but without a really good search function, I don't know how I'll find it. A friend's daughter has been accepted to the spring program. Last summer she was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol. Not arrested, but a citation. It was not prosecuted; never went to court. She basically paid a fine and it was a done deal. The whole thing is in the process of being expunged from records/databases but will not be complete when she reports to Disney in January. She does not want to cover this up or lie about it to anyone. Will this come up on any of the paperwork when she is incoming? I hadn't thought about it as being an issue, because any security questions I ever had to answer had to deal with being arrested/convicted. This was more like a traffic ticket. I'm not looking for a lot of speculation here. Hoping to here from someone who has been in the program or has first hand knowledge. Thanks in advance.

Employers only ask if you have been prosecuted. I have worked for Disney for 3 years. And I had no problem at all.

That's what I figured. She's concerned they are going to do some elaborate background check in every data base known to man and find this. Personally, I know Disney has deep pockets, but I can't imagine them spending that much time/effort/and money on something like this.

I was a CP many, many years ago and almost wasn't able to go to my program because they found an underage drinking charge on my record (I only received supervision, so didn't say I had been convicted... because I hadn't). It was a misunderstanding, and when I showed them proof that it was being expunged, they let me go. It was the best experience of my life! If they somehow bring it up, she should be honest... she should say it was a citation and not a conviction, but she is getting it expunged. We are all human... good luck! :)

my son included his traffic violation in his application. I think he felt like it was better to err on the side of caution ... rather than them finding out about it later. (would they have ever known? no idea ...)

anyway, he was sent additional paperwork to fill out while in process. He was accepted into the program about 3 weeks later :)
