Question for all you turkey gods out there...

For some ungodly reason, my turkey is still frozen! I took it out Monday morning, and we arent cooking till Friday, but its still hard as a rock. I have heard you can soak it in cold water for a few hours (its a 12lb bird). Anyone else ever do this...and has it worked??

just put it in cold water in your sink..change the water every half hour or hour..shouldn't take long to thaw a 12 lb turkey!..good luck and Happy Turkey Day!

Thanks!!!!!! I definitely will do this...but if I can find a thawed out bird I may buy it, cook both, and freeze the leftovers. I LOVES me some turkey!
