So this week I just booked a week in a studio at AKV Kidani. Now this coming Tuesday, it will be the 11 month window to book the two bedroom that we want because we have family coming along for just the second week. So how does it work? When I call on Tuesday, is it a completely separate reservation? One reservation is for the week in the studio, and then one reservation for the week in the two bedroom? Are they linked at all? And how does it work at check out? We check out of studio and then check into two bedroom? What happens with our luggage?
I've never done this before so I am not sure of how it works.
TIA

Yes, the two bedroom unit will be a completely separate reservation from the studio reservation. MS cannot link the reservations because they are not for the same thing.

You would check out of the studio and then check into the 2 bedroom. If the two bedroom isn't ready, you can leave your luggage with Bell Services.

Did you ask for a lock off in your original reservation? Some of the 2 bedrooms are lock offs. In other words it is a one bedroom next to a studio which can be used as a one bedroom and separate studio or a two bedroom.
If you ask for your studio reservation to be in a lock off then when the rest of your party arrives they can be checked into the the 'same' accommodation which is now a two bedroom. I have done this in the opposite direction. We checked into a 2 bedroom lock off and when our friends left the studio portion was locked off and we had a one bedroom. No need to move luggage or anything else.
Ask MS if they can link the reservation or change it so that you won't have to move. Tell them exactly what you want to do and see if they can do it. And if it is not possible right now ask to be put on a wait list for a lock off. :thumbsup2

On another occasion we had a change in our original plans and added days and had to move mid vacation. Bell Services was very helpful. They picked up our luggage and the food that we had in the kitchen They stored everything and refrigerated the items that had to be kept cold.
So either way ask!

So I just called MS. I tried to explain the above to her and she said that in Kidani, there are no dedicated studios. I am not sure if this is true. She said the only thing I can do is request that we not have to check out of the studio and link the reservations, but this is only a request not a guarantee. So I guess when I call on Tuesday to make the reservation for the second week, I book a two bedroom lock off. Then I try to link the reservations so that we don't have to check out of the studio portion. Hope this works!
