Question for all of you.

I've had relatives who lost a gift card when they opened christmas or birthday gifts. I'm sure they got thrown out with the trash -- gift wrap etc. They opened it -- they couldn't find it later that week.

Now when I give a gift card for a gift, I tape it on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of colored paper -- BRIGHT COLORED. Hopefully, it won't get thrown out with the gift wrap that way!

Lost a debit card! DS was around 1, and was playing with it. Then he hid it somewhere. We never found it. Looked in the garbage, in all drawers, every crack and crevice in the house we could think of. When we moved we kept a lookout. When we unpacked we kept a lookout. We will never know where it went....

I temporarily lost my camera! When I realized I lost it, I looked and looked, and it was gone. I'd taken it on an exercise walk with DS in the jogging stroller, and I'd had a weird, short conversation with a woman on the street in downtown...I ended up figuring that when she approached me, she pickpocketed from the stroller pocket thing.

When we were moving from the apartment some months later, we were getting rid of my rocking chair (upholstered and sort of lazyboy'ish, but small), and when we moved it, we realized there were things in it. Way down in the depths...there was my camera. :3dglasses

So I'd spent money replacing it AND spent months angry with that lady on the street, all for nothing. :headache:

I lost Fluffy, my little stuffed rabbit. I took him EVERYWHERE when I was little! I lost him when I was about 7 years old, then 13 years later, literally YEARS later, I left my keys at the bank. WHen I went to get them back they handed me the lost & found box, and there was FLUFFY! I thought there is no way this could be my bunny, sitting in that box so long, but he had my name sewn on him. (thanks mom) too bad the bank never read the name & told me us about it. lol.

You're not alone! When my 2nd was born my 1st was in pre-school. I took him in & dropped him off (had the infant in the carrier with me.) When I got back to the house I went inside & went about my business for almost 15 min. before I realized OMG the newborn is still out in the car!!!

LOL! Glad I am not alone! :rotfl:

I once lost my cell phone in my bedroom after it fell off the nightstand in the middle of the night. I searched for awhile before I realized I was using the glow of my cellphone as a flashlight to look for it. :rolleyes1

I lost some hand crocheted angels that my late Grandmother had made my mother when she first got married. It was three angels - My Mom, my Dad and me as a baby angel. My Mom just gave them to me last fall, I put them IN A SAFE PLACE for Christmas and I have not seen them since.

I lost the bottom part of my dutch oven. I have the lid just not the bottom half. :confused3

I lose my keys all the time. It's a fairly normal item to lose, but they end up in strange places when I forget to put them right back into my purse.

my sister lost a gold watch once. Fast forward about 5 years and they were getting new carpet and having an addition built which required work to the heating ducts. And lo and behold, he watch was in there. They think her toddler daughter poked it down the heating vent at some point.:cool1:

It's not a crazy thing to lose, nor do I ever really lose it...but I seem to have a habit of taking the remote everywhere around the house without even realizing I'm doing it. We've discovered it in the bathroom, the freezer...you name it, it's probably been found there.

My husband threatens to glue our remote to a 2X4!:rotfl2:

For you remote control misplacers, my roommate used to put velcro on the back of them, and on the side of the couch. We never lost them! :)

I lost my vacuum once! I walked around the house for hours looking and saying "Seriously, it takes talent to lose a vacuum!"

I haven't "lost" anything, I have just put things in a really safe place. Now if I could remember my safe place I would be really happy. There is about $350.00 U.S someplace. Also, I have some pearl necklaces that I got at Disney as well as another necklace that I got on a cruise. I have looked everywhere for them. They were all put in a jewelery box and put away safely because we were going away and I didn't want them stolen. Well I guess I didn't have to worry about that.

I lost my son one time. Yep that would be me! I was in walmart looking at the toys and I guess he just walked off but I didn;t notice b/c there was another boy that looked a lot like him next to me . I picked up his hand and started to walk off with him when a lady came around the corner holding MY son;s hand and I stopped and looked down next to me. UMMM well lets just say we swapped kids and never said a word!!!! :lmao:

Whenever you need or are looking for something, you can never find it. However when you stop looking, the thing you're looking for just pops right in front of you. Weird eh..

I lost my glasses and my cellphone a week ago, only to find my glasses inside the right pocket of my jeans and my cellphone on top of the TV. It took me days looking for those two. And I literally swept through my entire room, opening every box and checking out every drawer. When I was about to stop looking, and decided to leave the room, I found them both.

My Swiffer.

Who took it?

I disappeared during our move.

EVERYONE remembers seeing it GET INTO the moving truck. Nobody remembers seeing it IN the moving truck or moving it OUT OF the moving truck when we got to the house.

I think someone stole it off of the moving truck!

Who would steal a nasty Swiffer? :confused3

We lost my son's social security card. Looked high and low for it. A few months later my DH took a baseball hat off of a hat rack and it was inside the hat. Who knows how it got there.
