We're still trying to find a way to have a Disney Wedding and we have been looking into the intimate weddings. How much did you overall pay for your Intimate? We're thinking SBP or the Boardwalk. And then maybe doing a Illuminations Dessert Party. While I'm all for spending all of our savings and such on a Disney Wedding, he's very hesitant about it.:scared: So I'm trying to find a way to have one and not spend thousands of dollars. So if you can share your prices or maybe some tips I would greatly appreciate it!! I want to be able to have it down there! :goodvibes

It really depends. You can stick to the package elements, and I believe that the intimate package currently is about $3,000. Can anyone verify that or correct me if I'm wrong? These are the elements (per the Disney intimate weddings website).

Magical Amenities

* A magical setting of your choosing selected from five enchanting environments.
* A fresh floral bouquet for the bride and a fresh flower boutonniere for the groom.
* An elegant two tiered wedding cake with keepsake cake topper and one bottle of Fairy Tale Cuvee for your champagne toast.
* A Violinist for your ceremony and reception.
* A four (4) consecutive hour limousine charter for transportation on your wedding day for you and your guests.
* A professional Disney Photographer to capture your ceremony and reception.
* Up to two (2) hours of photography coverage which includes an album of twenty (20) images chosen by you. Along with the album Disney will also provide you with a contact sheet of all the images taken during your event.
* Includes an Intimate Wedding Coordinator to help plan and execute your wedding.
* A personalized wedding website.
* A Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Wedding Certificate.
* Please note: A four night minimum advance reservation is required at a Disney owned and operated resort.
* Additionally, you may choose to add special features to enhance your wedding celebration.

Where it starts to add up is if you want any extras. If you want it at the Wedding Pavilion, it's a little more. If you are having bridesmaids and want extra floral, that costs extra. If you use an outside vendor for photo, the photo element can be swapped for a honeymoon photo session at one of the parks.

There's some great info at http://disneyweddings.go.com/site/wed/int/cer/pack_elements.jsp

Also mousesavers.com has a wedding and honeymoon section.

I just asked about costs of an Illuminations dessert party and my planner emailed me menus, drink package prices, and a sample of costs. Here is the sample:

8:30 - 9:30 pm
based on 20 guests minimum
Food and beverage minimum is $19.50 per person

For 20 people, dessert menu at $19.50 pp = ~$500
Outdoor set up fee for tables and chairs = ~$75
Service Fee (if guess count is less than 20) = ~$50
Venue rental = ~$200
Viewing fee (for guests without park passes) = ~$12.50 pp

And then of course there is tax and gratuity. If you want to wear your dress in the park, you have the option of renting transportation (otherwise, no dress in the parks!)

Hope this helps! Good luck!

When I booked my intimate wedding, it included the accommodations, tickets, and officiant. However, we paid "rack rate" for the rooms. Now, you can use any discount you can find to book your rooms at ANY Disney owned and operated resort.

Our total cost for a ceremony at Sea Breeze point, including dress/clothes, kenneling our 3 dogs, airfare, the Disney trip (souvies and meals), and miscellaneous little extras was about $7000.

Now, we didn't really add anything to the standard intimate package except an extra bottle of cuvee and pre-purchasing our proofs. We used Disney Photography and we had no guests.

My guess is you could do the entire thing (with some extras and guests) for under $10k.

Hope that helps!

Thanks to everyone who responded!!! He's sorta coming around to the idea. I'm pretty sure I can have him convinced in a little while!!::yes::

If he's at all romantic...have him watch some of the videos from THIS SITE Not sure if they are all Disney, but many of them are!!

Thankfully I didn't have to do much convincing with DH! He wanted a small wedding and I wanted a Disney wedding so the Intimate was perfect for us! Like hiwaygal, when we had ours it included the officiant so that was about $150 savings. We had extra floral, an upgraded custom cake, chocolate favors, and a bottle of sparkling cider for the non-drinkers. The Disney part was under $5k (including staying at WL). We are Passholders so we didn't have to buy park tickets, but after you add in my gown (my parents paid for 1/2 of my gown), his suit and accessories, MOH's dress and accessories, hair, morning after brunch, our meals, tips, honeymoon cruise, etc. it was closer to $8k. DH gave me a $10k budget and I was doing the "dance of joy" that I came in under budget!! :dance3: It can be done and it can be fantastic. I can honestly say our wedding was completely perfect, I would not have changed one thing Disney did - it was exactly what I wanted!!

When everything for our trip to Disney and wedding needs are all said and done, we'll be spending around $9,000. This includes our airfare, a two-night concierge stay at WL, four nights at the Pop Century prior to that, 6-day park tickets, a prepaid dinner at Cindy's Royal Table, my dress, my DF's tux, the DFTW package itself (with no added extras), my hair, makeup, dress shipping and steaming, a photo package with Randy Chapman, the officiant costs, wedding license costs, as well as some minor costs for a reception we'll be holding a couple weeks after we get back home.

HTH! :goodvibes

I wouldn't want it any other way!
