We are thinking of doing this and wonder what your thoughts are, or maybe if you could recommend something that would be really cool. ( not super interested in the cliff divers)

Acapulco Highlights Tour (4.5 hours)
Meeting Time: 11:15am
There's nothing better than sightseeing combined with shopping. Your day starts with a 20 minute ride to see the cliff divers of LaQuebrada. Another 20 minute ride brings you to Fort San Diego which dates back to 1617. This Spaniard built fortress is home to a museum dedicated to the history of of Acapulco. Another 20 minute trip brings you to the Costera, the start of Acapulco's Golden Coast. This is one of the city's best shopping districts with wonderful handmade souvenirs. You'll want to sharpen your bargaining skills as negotiation is always part of the sale. You'll spend an hour shopping before the 20 minute trip back to the ship. NOTE: The order of stops can vary.
Price: $47.00 (ages 10 & up), $30.00 (ages 3 - 9)

Hi and thanks for the message, I would recommend that you hire a driver at the cruise terminal. You can get the same done in a van with only your party involoved and not be herded in a bus. A 4 hour tour costs $25 per person and you have a great driver knowleadgable, funny and much cheaper. And you can go to other places in the same amount of time, like the murals of Diego Rivera.

Therer are a few little extras, and you can do the math to see if this is a better choice.

Cliff Divers ranging from $3 or $12.50 to see the afternoon dive per person.
Fort of San Diego $3 per person and Sundays for free.

I hope this helps you decide, feel free to let me know if you need more help.
